5/06: Welcome to the automobile underworld of sleazy sales in Used Cars.

It's a funny comedy with many hilarious moments. Kurt Russell is terrific and so are Frank McRae and Gerrit Graham. It's nice to see This Is Spinal Tap's Michael McKean as the go-to man of illegal cable hook-ups. I love how the scenes are wacky to defy logic.

Sadly, the film falls apart during the last half hour. Robert Zemeckis has never been a great director because he can't tie up everything together to make a complete picture, no matter how many great scenes he shoots.

All in all, Used Cars has the miles but can't quite make the distance.
