Opinion: Unique and one of the best-looking people who could never age the least bit for the longest time, Johnny Depp first caught my eye when he did the TV show 21 Jump Street, and I knew he would be big one day. I liked how Johnny Depp presented himself, but because of his lack of theatrical training, he had no depth. It's sorely evident almost every time. He played stupid characters in many pointless pictures and didn't interest me when makeup was applied on his face. Hence, I wasn't a fan of Edward Scissorhands and thought it's overrated.

I finally became happy with Johnny Depp's work when he did Ed Wood, having reached his thespic potential. What happened with Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl was no surprise, but it took him a long time to break through. Unfortunately, it's when Johnny Depp finally sold out to do blockbuster films which was something that he had never done before, and I stopped bothering with him. He started to look more and more ridiculous in appearance. In retrospect, I must say Johnny Depp was perfect in Don Juan DeMarco and The Libertine.

Confirmed: Born of mostly English bloodline but absolutely nothing that's American Indian as he claimed to have said many times which led to heavy ridicule by the Indian community. A high school dropout whose family moved around a lot, had ambitions to become a rock star which was working out somewhat for a while until he got introduced to Nicolas Cage, leading him to a role in A Nightmare on Elm Street. The legend was that Wes Craven wanted his 14-year-old daughter and her best friend to make a choice between two actors for the role of Glen. They both unanimously picked the headshot of Johnny Depp. Thinking of him greasy, pale, and sickly, Wes Craven went, "Are you serious?" They simply said, "He's beautiful."

Stuck with acting for a while to pay the bills while trying to make it in music. Had a small role in Platoon and then became a huge teen heartthrob when he started to appear in 21 Jump Street, landing on so many teen magazines for girls. Eventually hated his time on the television show, and as a result, accepted various roles in small independent pictures. Became extremely famous when he did Edward Scissorhands, having studied Charlie Chaplin films. Co-owned a night club called The Viper Room that infamously saw the drug overdose death of River Phoenix.

Did relatively okay in What's Eating Gilbert Grape but got outacted by Leonardo DiCaprio whom he tortured many times on the set. Achieved another breakthrough when he played the titular director in Ed Wood. Having seen his profile raised, got to star opposite Marlon Brando, Al Pacino, and Christopher Walken, among others, in serious films. Career took off completely when he did Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, earning his first Oscar nomination, but it signaled the end of what he used to do during the 90's.

The 21st century saw Johnny Depp amass a huge fortune (estimated $650 million) and spend almost all of it which reached the zenith during the defamation trial against his ex-wife Amber Heard. Over time, Johnny Depp's looks have gone downhill along with his rotting teeth. Is a longtime smoker who rolls his own cigarettes even during public interviews. Is a wife beater, an alcoholic, a druggie, and a failed musician who can't play for shit. Has built up many tattoos all over his body including the famous one that was dedicated to then-girlfriend Winona Ryder which was amended to "Wino Forever." Is generally a violent person.
