Chuck Norris movies can be hard to stay awake to or complete in a sitting.
That's why this one should be called Bore and the Ennui. There are some scenes that go on and on,
serving no purpose. I call that bad editing, thanks to Christian Wagner for the first film of his career.
Where's the action? There's barely any.
Personality matters a lot, but Chuck Norris is so bland that he's hopeless. As his girlfriend,
Brynn Thayer takes up more than thirty minutes of screen time when she should be completely eliminated. The
pregnancy stuff...who cares?!? This is supposed to be action-adventure, not chick flick.
How about Steve James' character? Surveillance is a very simple concept: you watch, listen, and pay attention
to anything unusual. But what does he do instead? Run around in the theater many times for a workout while
leaving his gun in the seats. No wonder why he was killed by stupidity. Speaking of that, how about Simon
Moon using dental floss on the metal bars to escape the psychiatric facility?
All in all, everybody is a liability in Bore and the Ennui including those behind the scenes.
