Breaker! Breaker! (1977)

10/25: Yep, Breaker! Breaker! is as cheap as it gets.

Made for $250,000, the film did well at the box office, taking in $12 million. That's because of Chuck Norris in his first leading role. He's not bad overall. The action is high in realism. I wish it was started earlier, but a lot of time is first spent on the backstory. Hence, the first thirty minutes is boring.

It's difficult to say if parts of Breaker! Breaker! are ripped off from Smokey and the Bandit because of the CB radio thing and big trucks. They were filmed and theatrically released during the same time. Or this was a fad happening before these two came out. Smokey and the Bandit II actually has more in common with Breaker! Breaker!

All in all, Chuck Norris proves in Breaker! Breaker! that he's a star.
